How can I tell when an audit is needed?

Signs include declining performance, frequent machine adjustments, or inconsistent operation which all indicate components are worn or need attention.

How often should I schedule audits?

We recommend scheduling audits annually or every other year, depending on production volume and machine run time.

Are audits an additional charge?
What types of components typically become obsolete?

Purchased components such as servo motors and drives, gearboxes, electrical and pneumatic components are the most common parts at risk of becoming obsolete. As equipment ages, the number of components at risk increases.

How do I know if I have obsolete parts?

Douglas provides service bulletins for high impact obsolescence via email. Douglas can also provide an updated spare parts list for your specific machine with a pencil audit.
