Jim W.
Sr. Director, Procurement
About Jim
Throughout his 30+ years at Douglas, Jim has worked in various roles, from detailer and assistant designer to project manager and director of manufacturing. In his current role, Jim leads the procurement, material handling, and contracts teams as well as facilitating risk management.
Jim holds a two-year technical degree in mechanical design from Superior Technical College, a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and an MBA from Bethel University. While he appreciates all the formal training received over the decades, Jim says it’s the day-to-day endeavors, the successes as well as failures, that have provided him the most valuable lessons.
When he’s not at work, Jim enjoys hunting, fishing, and home projects as well as starting new hobbies and interests.
