Douglas personnel are available for installation, routine or emergency service, training, engineering or programming at the following rates in USD.

Cancellation Rates

Standard (4-7 calendar days before departure date)$500

Note: All cancellation fees will be billed to the PO received from the customer, plus any incurred expenses including but not limited to technician labor and expenses directly related to cancelled trip.

A minimum billing of eight (8) hours at the applicable rate will be in effect Monday through Friday. Weekend layover rate is billed at $140.00 per hour, plus expenses. Work or travel performed on Douglas Machine, Inc. corporate observed holidays will be billed at the above holiday rates.

Transportation/Lodging/Living Expenses: Billed actual cost in USD. Douglas Machine, Inc. will reimburse employees for use of privately owned vehicles at the current mileage rate allowed by the IRS. All amounts are billed in USD. Travel and living expenses are billed in USD at actual cost. Bank transaction fees charged for foreign currency conversions are billed at actual amount charged.

Meals: Billed daily per diem in USD. Daily per diem rates for meals are taken from US Federal regulations and amounts will vary by location, foreign and domestic.

Field Support Technicians are allowed to return home for a two-day weekend at the end of two weeks at job sites in the United States, Canada and Mexico. They are allowed to return home for one week after four weeks on site in other international locations. If the project has not been completed and the Field Support Technician must return to the job site, the customer will be responsible for travel time and expenses incurred.

Safety: Our technician’s safety is our highest priority. In the event your facility is in a higher crime location, we require the following accommodations:

  • Predetermined safe parking location identified and communicated prior to technician arrival.
  • Daylight working hours only.
  • Potential for increased travel costs as technicians will be staying in hotels further out in safer areas.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including but not limited to all electrical codes. While our technicians are highly trained and experienced to perform the work required, they do not hold licensure within any state or county. Our services do not include verification or enforcement of compliance with these laws and regulations he above rates are subject to change without notice.
