Buyer II or III (full-time 1st shift)Responsible for procurement of materials, supplies, equipment, and services required by various Douglas Machine Inc. business units.

Education and/or Experience:
Must have a minimum of three years experience or equivalent in a manufacturing environment that includes metal fabrication and assembly.  Post-secondary education and/or professional certification (APICS, NAPM, etc.) is preferred.  Supply Chain Management and World Class Manufacturing training and/or experience is desirable.

Client Executive (full-time 1st shift) The Client Executive is market-facing role designed to achieve the division’s revenue, margin and market share goals in assigned segments of the biotech industry.  This role will require a strong blend of executive acumen, client discovery, engineering process, team selling, pipeline management, communications, negotiations, financial experience, and product knowledge.  This position will collaborate with various engineers and corporate professionals in the sales process.

Continuous Improvement Engineer (full-time 1st shift)The CI Engineer is responsible for leading process improvement teams and projects across the company to drive towards operational excellence.  He/She will be expected to utilize Lean methodologies (as well as other process improvement tools) to identify and improve key company wide processes in cycle time, cost, quality, waste, and safety.  This individual will also be responsible for helping to sustain the improvements by imbedding proper control measures and metrics and developing process owner accountability.  Experience with basic manufacturing philosophies, with emphasis on QRM or Lean.  Experience with tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Pareto Analysis and FMEA.  Accomplished computer and system skills including Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and SolidWorks.  Knowledgeable with MRP or other related systems.  Must be willing to be “hands on” and work in a team environment.  Must possess both excellent oral and written skills.  Requires BS degree in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or related field.  Minimum of 3-5 years related experience is desirable.


Electrical Engineer (full-time 1st shift)The Engineer II position is responsible for projects of considerable scope and complexity.  This position interacts frequently with other internal professionals across functional lines within the business cell and also interacts with external customers and suppliers on routine technical issues as required.  In addition, the Engineer II position may exercise considerable influence over other functional areas to resolve problems to complete assigned work on schedule.

Machinist (full-time 3rd shift)This position is responsible for all CNC machining functions.  Applicant must be familiar and able to perform programming functions and machine set up on all CNC Milling machines.  Applicant must have formal training or education in CNC equipment.  Be able to read and interpret machine drawings and blueprints.  A strong Machine Shop background is desirable.


Marketing Services Manager (full-time 1st shift) With direction from the Corporate Vice President of Sales and Marketing, this working manager position is responsible for the development and execution of the value added service provisions of Douglas Machine Inc.’s whole product solutions that concern marketing communications.  This individual should have a background of experience, which demonstrates the ability to analyze data, create documentation and develop marketing communications and training materials utilizing effective media. Good organizational and management skills are required, as is an understanding of mechanical systems and/or packaging automation equipment.  Must be able to communicate well with individuals or groups.  The individual in this position must possess extensive personal computer skills including the application of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.  A BS degree in marketing or communications or extensive applicable experience is highly desirable.


Mechanical Engineer (full-time 1st shift)The Engineer I position is responsible for producing and reconfiguring complete machine design packages using existing technology.  This position interacts frequently with internal customers and occasionally with external customers.  In addition, this position’s area of influence will focus primarily on routine projects assigned to him or her within their own department.

  • Computer Aided Design/Drafting (CAD) experience (Cadra and SolidWorks preferred).

Process Engineer (full-time 1st shift) The Process/Quality Engineer II position is a multifunction role responsible for projects of variable scope and complexity.  This position interacts frequently with other internal professionals across functional lines within the business cell and also interacts with external customers and suppliers on routine technical issues as required.  In addition, the position will exercise considerable influence over other functional areas to resolve problems to complete assigned work on schedule.

Production Supervisor/Assembly (full-time 2nd shift)The Production Supervisor will demonstrate strong leadership, supervision, and direction for production personnel in accordance with Douglas Leadership Qualities.  This position will work closely and cooperatively with other production supervisors, department managers, as well as other production support personnel on a daily/weekly basis to ensure that production goals are achieved.

Senior Maintenance Mechanic (full-time 1st shift)Performs a variety of plant and equipment maintenance tasks, primarily of a mechanical nature.  Individual must have training and/or extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and equipment.  Individual has to be familiar with the proper use of a variety of hand and power tools.  A maintenance background with both mechanical and electrical responsibilities is desirable.  The ability to work independently, to prioritize and change work focus, and to identify and propose solutions and improvements is essential.  The availability to work a flexible work schedule as required is necessary.


Software Engineer (full-time 1st shift)The Software Engineer II position is responsible for projects of considerable scope and complexity. This position interacts frequently with other internal professionals across functional lines within the business cell and also interacts with external customers and suppliers on routine technical issues as required. In addition, the Software Engineer II position may exercise considerable influence over other functional areas to resolve problems to complete assigned work on schedule.

Systems Programmer/Analyst (full-time 1st shift) – Provide system and programming support for our iSeries, MAPICS, and LAN systems.  The individual for this position must be familiar with IBM iSeries hardware and operating system, have a minimum of a 2 yr AAS computer degree and 5+ years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.  MAPICS experience a plus but not a requirement.  Experience in other technologies could be helpful.
